He learned from the Harmon (father Claude, the 1948 Masters Champion and sons Butch, Dick, Craig and Bill) family, considered the first family of golf. Mike’s teaching method allows you to maximize your potential with designated drills to make things easier and can help with any aspect of your game including putting, short game (chipping, pitching, bunkers), full swing, trouble shots as well as course strategy and the mental side of the game. Hi! My name is Sheri Kirkpatrick. I grew up in Anoka Minnesota and have been fortunate to summer in the Remer area my whole life. I graduated from Anoka HS in 1983, and then moved to Arizona where I graduated from Arizona State University with a BA in Math Education and currently reside. I taught Math for a few years and then “retired” to raise 4 children….Ryan 27, Kyle 25, Austin 23, and Shelby 21.
My family has always had a passion for the game of golf so it was natural for me to fall in love with the game as well. I grew up playing a variety of sports but golf has always been a big part of my life. After my kids were in school I decided to pursue a career in teaching golf.
In 2007 I began my golf teaching journey with the LPGA and in 2010 completed my Class A certification. I am also TPI Certified Levels 1, 2, & Juniors and a SNAG certified instructor. I currently teach at Arizona Golf Resort in Mesa, Arizona during the winter months, and for the past 5 years have taught at Ridgewood Golf Course in Longville in the summer months.
My passion is to grow the game of golf at all levels. I offer a variety of options for my students including individual lessons, group lessons, clinics, playing lessons, etc. I believe that golf is a game of many facets including the body(technique/physical aspects of the swing), mind(the psychological aspect), and the spirit(passion/drive to be better/social aspect). I would love to help you discover and apply the aspects that will help you enjoy and play the game at your highest potential.
I love SO many things about this great game of golf, but one of the things I love the most is that ANYONE can play…no matter what your level or age. I am SO grateful and excited for the opportunity to meet and work with all of you here at Pokegama.
- Sheri Kirkpatrick
“Golf is deceptively simple and endlessly complicated; it satisfies the soul and frustrates the intellect. It is at the same time rewarding and maddening - and it is without a doubt the greatest game mankind has ever invented.”
